Viberg's Chelsea Boot draws inspiration from a pull-on work boot of the 1970s. When the brand reintroduced this style in 2014, they updated the pattern to utilize a single-piece upper, presenting a clean, modern silhouette with no side seams. The sleek design of the Chelsea allows for versatility, suitable for both casual and formal settings. For this exquisite model, Viberg has partnered with Charles F. Stead tannery, using a fine and lustrous Anise Janus Calf Suede and Viberg's signature Channeled Insole Goodyear Welt Construction.
Janus Calf Suede is made from selected young calfskins, featuring a luxurious silky suede on one side and a natural full-grain aniline finish on the reverse. Primarily intended for use as suede, the grain side is best suited for trimming. The feel of Janus is slightly firmer than soft. In our opinion, it is the finest suede available in the world. In the United Kingdom, there are now very few tanneries left—only about 30 remain, a stark contrast to the 300 that once existed. Among these, Charles F. Stead in Leeds stands as one of the oldest and most renowned, producing top-quality suede since 1890.
All Viberg Service Boots are available in a single E width, and we recommend sizing down one full size from your standard US sneaker size or Brannock measurement. If you have wide feet, consider going down half a size. Viberg sizes fit more closely to uk rather than US sizing.
