This warm brown hue is not the result of dyeing but comes from organically grown, naturally colored cotton cultivated on a single-origin farm in New Mexico. By growing color directly into the fiber, Foxfibre® eliminates the need for synthetic dyes. Over time, it deepens in tone, developing a unique patina and added character with wear.
The Coyote 70 blend combines a higher percentage (70%) of dark-toned Foxfibre® cotton with organic upland and Extra Long Staple cotton (30%). This carefully balanced mix produces a richer, more saturated color while maintaining exceptional softness, strength, and durability.
To further enrich the natural tone, the fabric undergoes an iron mordant treatment—a traditional process where fibers are soaked in an iron-rich solution that deepens and intensifies the color. In this case, the iron mordant enhances the natural brown hue of the FoxFibre® cotton into a rich, dark earthy tone, adding depth, character to the fiber.
At 228 GSM, this heavyweight fabric has a rugged exterior dotted with natural neps and cotton seeds, while the interior feels remarkably soft. The textile comes to life after the first wash, embodying both toughness and comfort.
Crafted on century-old Tsuriami loopwheel machines in Wakayama, Japan—producing just one meter of fabric per hour—the shirt carries the hallmark of Japanese craftsmanship. The Wonder Looper Crewneck T-Shirt features a modern athletic fit, binder neck ribbed collar, and Union Special flat side seam construction, ensuring long-lasting shape and comfort.
