Crafted from a premium 12oz loopwheel cotton fabric, this cardigan delivers outstanding durability, a soft handfeel, and reliable insulation. The fabric is produced at the historic Kanekichi factory in Wakayama, Japan, one of only two workshops worldwide still operating traditional loopwheel (“Tsuri-Ami”) knitting machines. These century-old machines rely entirely on gravity rather than mechanical tension, rotating at just 24 revolutions per minute and producing fabric for only 8–10 garments per day. This slow, stress-free process results in a fabric that is exceptionally dense, strong, and naturally soft—widely regarded as the finest sweatshirt material available today.
Finished with a chunky shawl collar, this cardigan provides added warmth around the neck while delivering a refined, workwear-inspired silhouette. Practical details include three front pockets for everyday use and reinforced elbow patches for long-term durability.
